Model is constructed from the Model Slipway" Kit with little modification. Not a rough weather boat due to a slight top heavy weight and a high superstructure easily effected by a strong winds.

The real boat was built for HM Customs for use in chasing smugglers and drug runners; constructed by Vosper Thornycroft and based on the "Island Class" patrol boats built for the US Coastguard. The construction of the wheelhouse window area is a bit of a challenge to get right.
