Shaw Trophy

Gifted to the club in 1980 by Mr.E.Shaw to promote the sailing of either registered or unregistered Marblehead yachts. At the same time Mr.Shaw donated the sum of £50.00 to cover the cost of engraving winners names on the trophy. There were no conditions attached to this gift therefores use is entirely at the discretion of the club committee. For the 1993 programme onwards it was decided to change this annual event from a Marblehead Sunday to a One Metre Sunday event. |
