This huge container ship came back into Southampton on a cold misty day; Peter Taylor was out on Weston Shore with a camera; someone was feeding seagulls... Even with our new, bigger pond she still won't fit (click on image right)! image

Nigel James's Moonshadow was under reduced rig, Arthur Shannon's Pilot Boat ventured out for a brief time, and Cliff Newell's One Metre might have sunk when the hatch came loose! No photos of the latter since your photographer was helming at the time!

[album] [HR] [movie] 		After snow fall at the weekend's start we all expected the pond to be frozen. However, undeterred, a few of us turned up on Sunday if only to look at the pond, and Peter Taylor's "Archimeded's Bug" was on hand to tow any stranded cars out of the flooded car park. Fortunately his services were not required!

[album] [HR] 		For the Scale Sections first outing of 2013, Greg Reid dusted off his model of the RAF launch "Halifax". The model had apparently been successful at shows in the past and it still performed well despite some ageing batteries. And one or two photos of Nigel James' "Spirit" sailing in the pond and in the car park! But most of us seemed to be in awe at the size of the pond!
