[album] [HR] 		The poor summer weather has restricted the variety of model types at the pond recently. Often it has just been the "usual suspect" sailing boats plying the ocean routes before strong northeasterly trade winds. However here are photos from two days when a number of new models were on show as well as some familiar models now under new ownership!

The Southampton Martime Festival on 5th/6th May 2013 commemorated the the history of the Docks. Amongst the "Dunkirk Little Ships" was "Bluebird of Chelsea" of which the SRCMBC has two fine models.

Another sunny day with a freshening breeze. The second Shelduck took to the water to join our growing fleet (flock?) - although still not fully fledged they do look nice little cruising boats! Some photos of Reg Radley's square rigger with more wind in her sails, also not one but two of Cliff Newell's pilot cutters! And David McNair-Taylor's USS Winston S Churchill is today's grey fleet representative...

The last two weeks have been marked by the maiden voyages of three beautiful square riggers: the Clippers "Caliph" (Allan Read) and "Margaret" (Reg Radley), and the brig "Marie Sophie" (Harold Hartigan). Meanwhile, Dave Edwards "Livonia" was there to represent an older generation of models. Edwin Metcalfe is bravely sailing his part built Shelduck (admittedly with reduced rig). And Brian Rapley's U'Boat lurks in the depths...
