It's a week since "Navy Day" but warships were prominent on Sunday 27th May! New to the web site are the "Bismarck" model of Kenny Jackson, "HMS Diamond" belonging to Kenny's father Vaughan, and John Edward's "HMS Consort". There are new photos of Nick Leaper's pirate fighting "HDMS Absalon" and of David McNair-Taylors "HMS Lancaster" as well as photos of David's new Type 45 "HMS Dauntless", now fully commissioned!

Navy Day 2012

Navy Day 2012 was held on 20th May. The cold and blustery weather resulted in a very slow start with few attendees but proceedings warmed up around ten o clock with many visitors and a few more members arriving. We did manage to get models onto the water and put on a show for the visitors.

It was a grey and cool weekend with Navy Day held on the Sunday, David McNair-Taylor took some photos when not Commanding his Warships. The day before, the SRCMBC web site captured a sneak preview of David's new Type 45 Destroyer under-going acceptance trials in preparation for the following day. Apparently problems with one of the engine-room computers has delayed hand-over of the vessel to the Navy!
