The Surface Warship Association exhibited some of their models in "Action Stations", Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on week end of 9/10 March as part of the Second World War event to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary of bomb damage to boathouse 6 (now the home of Action Stations). More...

An Exhibition of Warship Models at the Explosions Museum in Gosport over the weekend of 3/4 November 2012 with SRCMBC members Dave Reith and David McNair-Taylor exhibiting some 10 models.

As members of the Surface Warship Association, SRCMBC members Dave Reith and David McNair-Taylor, showed their models at the SWA Exhibition at Bursledon Brickworks Museum on 13th May 2012. David McNair-Taylor's report on the event.

David McNair-Taylor participated in the Portsmouth "Meet the Navy Day" on the 11th July. There's some photos of his models, but mainly photos of the Navy's brand new Type 45 Destroyer, HMS Daring. Lots of flat, radar deflecting, surfaces so looks like an easy ship to build and you could sell one cheap to the Navy! However, apparently all the expense is in the computers below decks.

Re-enactments by the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team... Atlantic Convoy: Trafalgar:

David Reith and David McNair Taylor took part in "Meet Your Navy " week-end in Portsmouth historic dockyard as members of the Surface Warship Association. Held over the last weekend in July, the excellent four day show had lots of interest and many visitors, and was also attended by the Portsmouth Model Boat Club and Display Team. As well as static displays they did several on water displays per day.

The last Romsey Model World, held on 8th September 2007, was supported by the club. Unfortunately the event attracted a relatively disapointing crowd and, after running for a number of years, it has now been discontinued.

The SRCMBC attended the Anniversary meeting of the Waterside Model Boat Club at Ganng Warily park on the 4th June 2006.
