What was new during April 2010?

These were the changes during that month.

29th April 2010 Setley's own environmental disaster was averted when a large super-tanker, having lost engine power near to a rocky shore, was salvaged by the club's ocean going tug "Phoenix"; see the dramatic action in the "Latest Photos Gallery"! Also photos of "HMS Dido" and the MFV "Marignan" on a day when lack of wind left the sailing vessels drifting.
28th April 2010 Alan Bond's "Marine Engine Sound Unit" is now available from Technobots as an assembled pre-programmed unit in petrol, diesel, and steam versions. Read Alan's description in our Hints and Tips section. New on our Members Adverts page is a Graupner battery charger offered by Pete Bryant. Finally, thanks to Lorna Soffe, more boats in our Photo galleries have been associated with their owners. Please check the "Unknown Owner" category and if you recognise a model please let me know.
25th April 2010 Heavy weather has warships rolling, sailing ships rails under, and ocean going tugs... ocean going! See our "Latest Photos Gallery".
22nd April 2010 Another sunny day and photos in our "Latest Photos Gallery", include graceful sailing ships built by Allan Read, Cliff Newell and Reg Radley; Peter Taylor's less graceful NQD conversion; and Ralph Stockton's "PS Director" tug showing that it too can fight fires.
20th April 2010 An invitation to an International Model Boat Exhibition in Fuenlabrada, Madrid, with Hotel accomodation paid; see the Home Page.
18th April 2010 A sunny day with light winds saw Barry Thomas's Hampshire Fire Service launch demonstrating it's fire fighting abilities, while Ray Helicar's USS Manila Bay was carrying some strange armaments... see our "Latest Photos Gallery".
12th April 2010 Yesterday was sunny, but with a cool wind; photos in our "Latest Photos Gallery" include several models either new to this web site or not seen for some time... and two "Al Khubar" type tugs in joint manoevres (apparently the full size "A-K 3" sank after collision with "A-K 1", but that was not re-enacted on Sunday!).
9th April 2010 On our Member's Adverts page... For Sale: a one to one model (i.e. full size!) Canadian Canoe beautifully constructed in Cedar strip by Ken Dyer; and various paints and glues which Peter Gargan was unable to transport to South Africa, donations to RNLI requested for these.
8th April 2010 Today was warm and sunny at the pond and photos in our "Latest Photos Gallery" include Harold Hartigan's new fishing boat "Hellen", and a return after long absence of Greg Reid's graceful "Victoria" Steam Launch.
6th April 2010 A near tragedy at the pond plus a members discount on 2.4Ghz sets, see our Home Page.
