What was new during February 2009?

N.B. references to "Latest Photos gallery", "Members Adverts", etc. will be out of date! However the photos and movies referred to can now be found in the relevant Member's or Boat Type albums.
21st February 2009 A new Something Different page featuring photographs by Alan Bond of some elderly model boats in Cornwall! I've contacted other boat clubs listed on our Model Boat Clubs Links page, asking if they would consider a link to our site. Thanks for all the positive responses that I have received.
18th February 2009 We have a poster for the Highcliffe show, and there is a pdf version for printing... please print off and distribute. The web site also gives directions to get there. The latest photos feature the pond's cormorant, and Chris Chattaway's Hovercraft on it's first time out. Peter Taylor has added an article into the Hints and Tips page on taking photos of model boats to what is now called his "Stumblings" section!
13th February 2009 Articles which appeared in the SRCMBC January 2009 newsletter have been added to our Hints and Tips page. There is guidance from Alan Bond on using LEDs in your model, more additions to Peter Oram's "Toolbox", and an account of Peter Taylor's experiences in switching to 2.4GHz RC gear.
11th February 2009 The long promised update to the Commercial Sites category on our links page. Also a new facility to add your own comments about your models in the Photo Galleries pages. As an example of how this works, look at Peter Gargan's models. (or my own... Peter Taylor). I think this adds a lot of interest, if you agree, please email me comments on your models and I'll add them in.
7th February 2009 An update to the Smoke Generator article in our Hints and Tips section which notes that there is now a commercially available model based on the same principle. There have also been quite a few "tweaks" to the site which (if I've done them correctly) you won't notice. If you do find something not working please let me know!. One thing you might notice is our Directions to the pond now uses Google Maps.
2nd February 2009 The "About our site" page has been updated to the visits that we know about during January, 2009, including views from Ireland, India, and Trinidad and Tobago... Welcome! The News Archive page has been reorganised to show the past news month by month; a history of events since the start of this web site. On the Member's Adverts page there's details of a Scroll Saw offered by Peter Bryant.
