What was new during February 2011?

N.B. references to "Latest Photos gallery", "Members Adverts", etc. will be out of date! However the photos and movies referred to can now be found in the relevant Member's or Boat Type albums.
28th February 2011 Photographs from Sunday (27th) mainly feature the maiden voyage of John Cooper's MV Shamrock police launch. There are also movies of the Shamrock, Vital Spark, Ken Dyer's Atlantis, plus an expert rescue of a Laser stuck on the island by Cliff Newell... all in our Latest Movies gallery.
26th February 2011 Don Brazier's Marignan MFV has had it's engine sounds retuned using Alan Bond's portable programmer (see the "Hints and Tips" pages). You can hear (and see) it by going to our Latest Movies gallery. Also, on the Home Page you can view a compilation of Lorna Soffe's photographs from the postponed "Christmas Lunch".
22nd February 2011 The latest Club Newsletter is available from our News Letters page. There are a few photos from Sunday (20th Feb) in our Latest Photos Gallery and our Links pages have been reorganised into General Links and Commercial Links which will hopefully make them more useful. Finally, the Setley Weather page has been updated to provide access to the web based weather information and forecasts that I find most useful.
15th February 2011 Poor weather has meant not much action at the pond so it's time for the cinema! Our original attempts to provide SRCMBC movies via YouTube often resulted in poor quality. But YouTube has now much improved so we are providing brand new versions of many of Alan Bond's videos. Not seen before are movies (and photo galleries) of Mike Sheppard's Trireme, and Pete Bryant's aero-racer and military hovercraft. Revised movies include Ken Dyer's Swordsman, "Phoenix", and "Wet'n Wild"; Peter Soffe's Canal Boat; Pete Bryant's Griffin and "Plonker"; Andrew and Lorna Soffe's Perkasa; and Ralph Stockton's Rowing Girls. Thanks also to Alan Bond, we have new photo galleries of Louis Vaisey's Air Boat and Trent Lifeboat; and Pete Bryant's Perkasa. All can be viewed via our Photo Galleries page... and there's more to come!
1st February 2011 Like buses, you wait long enough and three "Hints and Tips come at once! Alan Bond has created a hand held device to allow us all to easily program Marine Engine Sound Units and we have two very interesting articles by David Edwards and Reg Radley on Sail Control for Square-Riggers.
