What was new during November 2009?

N.B. references to "Latest Photos gallery", "Members Adverts", etc. will be out of date! However the photos and movies referred to can now be found in the relevant Member's or Boat Type albums.
22nd November 2009 The last two club days, Thursday 19th and today, Sunday, have been blessed with very strong winds. In addition, today we had torrential showers, so no action from the pond. So, instead a Ruff-less Ruff cartoon on our Alternative to Model Boats page. However, at least the pond is being re-filled, you can no longer walk dry-shod across the island and water laps the boards on the western bank.
18th November 2009 The annual update of the Other Model Boat Clubs links page has been completed. This page lists Model Boat Club sites which are presently active, ignoring sites which have not been updated for a few years or which no longer exist! A number of sites have been added to the page, if your site is not listed please contact me.
15th November 2009 After some dank, cold weather last weekend, and having survived storm force gales and rain yesterday... at last some new photos from the pond! Ken Dyer's Bristol Cutter survives being hit by a squall, Peter Soffe's restoration of tug "F.C. Sturrock" is back in the water courtesy of Ian Holliday, and Bob Eaton's schooner "Pandora" moves on to waters new.
1st November 2009 Heavy rain and gales throughout this Sunday morning kept your webmaster away from the pond; if some member was there with their model submarine, sorry I missed it! So the About Our Site page has been updated... in October the site continued to receive just over 300 visits per day! Also the News Archive pages have been tidied up in anticipation of lots of future news!
