What was new during July 2009?

N.B. references to "Latest Photos gallery", "Members Adverts", etc. will be out of date! However the photos and movies referred to can now be found in the relevant Member's or Boat Type albums.
30th July 2009 This was yet another windy day! Photos in our latest photos album include two newcomers to the site... Ian Povey's tug Eldergarth and Roger Yeatman's Lulworth Firing Range Patrol boat, and Tony Crollies early MTB also seems to have gained a huge boost in speed. We also have a new service to provide Photographic Prints from the photo galleries. Proceeds go to the RNLI.
27th July 2009 Photos taken on the 11th July by David McNair-Taylor at the "Meet the Navy" weekend at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Models from the Surface Warships Association, and photos of the Navy's brand new Type 45 Destroyer, HMS Daring. Also photos from 26th July featuring Ken Dyer's Wishbone Schooner "Atlantis", Dennis New's "Najade", and some familiar models such as Ray Hellicar's Strahl, and RAF Crash Tender 96.
24th July 2009 Photos from yesterday (Thursday morning) in our latest photos album include some familiar models... "Marignan", "Smaragd", "Phoenix", and "HMS Judson". A glimpse of Bob Eaton's "Atlantia", and the star attraction... David Edward's barque "Bankburn".
22nd July 2009 A new feature on our Photo Galleries and Movies page. If you choose to view the "All Boats" page. You now have the choice of either having the latest modified albums listed first (i.e. new photos, new owners comment's, etc.) or, as before, the albums listed in alphabetical order of their names. The "All Boats" feature is very popular, but remember it may be slow to download if you are on dial-up.
19th July 2009 A windy day at the pond featuring David Edwards beautiful tea clipper "Thermopylae" showing her ability to cope with really heavy weather, a really impressive display! See the action in our latest photos album.
16th July 2009 Photographs taken today at the pond include Peter Soffe's "Wyeforce" back on the water, a visitor's lovely Steam Paddle Tug; David Edward's sqare rigged clipper "Thermopylae" which I can now tell apart from his "Salamis"; and Alan Bond's Pusher Tug looking more and more complete. View them in our latest photos album.
14th July 2009 Photographs of the SRCMBC exhibition and other entertainments at the Calshot Lifeboat Day on 12th July are now in our Latest Events gallery.
5th July 2009 Today's photographs from a windy (but eventually sunny) day at the pond with HMS Belfast as the star attraction feature in our latest photos album.
1st July 2009 To celebrate this web site's First Birthday, the "Completely Different" photo gallery features pictures taken by Alan Bond during a tour of the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, "NOCS". Computer code developed at NOCS has played a major role in constructing the SRCMBC web site.
